Feb 17th – Ensenada Day

Arrived in Ensenada about 4pm this afternoon and as we were approaching the coast I was out on the balcony and saw a pod of Gray whales!  There were 4 or 5 of them and pretty close to the ship!  Another treat!

As we drew up to the dock there was an angry mob of sea lions!  They had been basking in the sun and as the ship docked we blocked their sun and they became very unhappy!  Then when the ropes were being drawn out they took their shiny coats into the water, griping the whole way.

I hope you are all sitting down because I am about to announce news that will stun you.

We won trivia this morning!!  We tied for first and lost the tiebreaker ( you had to come closest to the number of passengers a particular muster station holds – lame).  So we won, but no prize…oh, well….a win is a win!

Most of the passengers were busy packing and doing last minute shopping before they disembark tomorrow.  We just have to meet in one of the dining rooms at 11 am and they will escort us through customs and immigration and right back on the ship.  Should be pretty easy.

I’ll try and get another post done tomorrow during the day.  The next group will have a different vibe as it’s only 7 days and the passengers will be younger and more lively.
