Feb 19th – Sea Day

Lost an hour last night so we slept in a bit this morning!  Had a quick bite at the coffee bar and started our day!

The whole ship was slow to rise and we noticed lots of “open” spaces around the ship.  Fine by us!

I had a date with trivia at 10:15 and we did win!!  Hooaaahh!  Another lanyard!  No, we didn’t have that trivia set before so we did it all on our own!  Had another new set this afternoon and, yes, you know the story….we took second place!  It’s just so funny now  and we get such a laugh out of it we don’t even mind!

I think I mentioned that one of my trivia friends is traveling with her aunt who is celebrating her 100^th birthday.  Well, Vickie lost Vera again yesterday!  All is well but that Vera is a sneaky girl!  Saw her this evening at formal night and the dear thing was wearing a tiara on her wig!  She has the most beautiful skin and you’d never know her age just by looking at her.  Vera won one of the game shows the other night!  It was a game where contestants are not allowed to say the words “yes” or “no” as they are asked questions by the host.  Vera had laser like focus and never faltered!  Amazing!

Sailor Ed went to the movies this afternoon and saw the “Ides of March” and he didn’t much care for it.  He did stay the whole time, which makes me think he might have taken a bit of a doze! 

As I said it was formal night again and we had drinks with Doris and Ray in the atrium so we can gawk at all the get-ups!  What a hoot!  Some of the outfits defy explanation and/or gravity!!  You can’t possibly keep a count of all the tattooed women!  Even some women you would never dream of having ink! 

The weather is warming by the hour so tomorrow should see the outside decks fill up with all the sunbathers.  All the kids are having so much fun and we saw a group of them dressed in chef’s toques and jackets heading off to the kitchens!
